Your role

Are you ready to elevate your expertise in agricultural commodities? In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to produce leading price analyses and market news, perfectly aligned with DCA Market Intelligence’s approach. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to further develop and strengthen our benchmark prices.

Who we are

DCA Market Intelligence is a leading independent organization focused on data, information, and news in the agricultural commodities markets, with a strong emphasis on the Dutch and international food and agribusiness sectors. Our expertise primarily covers dairy, potatoes, onions, grains, livestock, and meat. As a Price Reporting Agency (PRA), we independently compile over 95 benchmark prices weekly. These serve as references for producers, traders, brokers, processors, and other stakeholders in market price negotiations. Our team of market specialists translates market developments into clear analyses, providing unique value to our clients and subscribers. Our prices and market information are published along with news, interviews, and opinions on our online platforms: DCAMarketIntelligence.com, Boerenbusiness.nl, Foodbusiness.nl, and Farmerbusiness.com.

What will you do?

• Dive deep into the world of agricultural commodities such as grains, sugar, potatoes, fries, and onions, building comprehensive knowledge of the market, supply chains, and end-users. You’ll use these insights to create representative prices and high-quality content.
• Gather price information and set prices according to our rigorous methodology, price specifications, and principles.
• Support colleagues in their market research to serve the market in the best possible way and enhance our collective knowledge.
• Write market commentaries and news articles that are both informative and current, contributing to the growth of our readership and the use of DCA benchmark prices in physical and futures markets.
• Maintain and expand your network of market contacts, collecting valuable price information and exclusive news stories.
• Identify new opportunities for launching prices.
• Promote DCA Market Intelligence and our expertise by developing content, participating in events, sharing knowledge on social media, and attending industry meetings.

• You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• You have an interest in and knowledge of financial markets and commodities.

• You are independent and take the initiative to discover the stories behind the numbers.
• You are a true team player who contributes to a pleasant working atmosphere and acts with impeccable integrity.
• You are interested in further developing your market knowledge and are open to training and new projects.
• You can work well with numbers and spreadsheets and are able to write clear analytical texts.
• You are socially adept and can clearly answer questions about prices and pricing sessions.
